I've been a photographer for pretty much all my life and remember getting my very first "real" camera for my 10th birthday! I'm very down-to-earth and love to keep things sweet, simple, and easy-going...

If you're familiar with these personality tests and their incredible accuracy, I'm a Myers-Briggs type ESFJ - the "Consul", and an Enneagram type 1 wing 2 - the "Perfectionist". I'm naturally someone who likes to have a good time, mingle and get to know others, is attentive to the little details, and strives to make sure everything is as it should be. My personality shows through my work because I like to keep photographs authentic and true to the moment, but set up as perfectly as can be, in the most ideal location with the prettiest light and background as possible. :)

As a sentimental sap, I love anything that comes along with a story to tell. The holidays and changes in seasons make my heart feel so alive because it gives me the chance to not only host and cook for those I love, but to also carry on our cherished family traditions.

I consider myself to be a minimalist because to me, less is more - but what I do surround myself with are things that make my senses smile... Like funky dish towels, cute little serving bowls, warm twinkly lights, colorful organic fruits and veggies, the sound of chill reggae vibes, and fresh flowers and plants - lots and lots of plants.

In my free time, I keep a women's health and wellness blog updated with inspiration on self-love, finding balance, and holistic natural living called Sunflower & Fig, and love to practice yoga. I'm also a consultant for Young Living Essential Oils and believe so wholeheartedly in the powerful properties, and use in multiple ways on the daily. Painting and crocheting are also a few things I love doing to express a little creativity from time to time. Tyler and I love spending time in nature and taking Bax to the lake, seeing live music, and going out to dinner, but our favorite place to be together is home. Our back patio, strung with cafe lights under a canopy of trees, is our favorite spot to spend a Friday night with friends, chiminea-fireside with a glass (or two) of red wine.

I've been in the wedding and portrait photography business world for about eight years now. Being an entrepreneur drives me to strive for more, be better, and do what I love. I'm passionate about working for myself because it's a challenge, it's unique, and it's flexible. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I love taking pictures and have done so since I was a little girl, so naturally a photography business is what God's intended for me and I couldn't be more grateful.

If you're interested in photos and feel as though I'm someone you'd connect well with, please reach out - I'd love to talk with you!

I feel so whiny typing this, but I really do love most everything! :)

I've been photographing seriously for over 15 years and currently entering my eighth year as a registered business owner.

Over 150, and countless Portrait Sessions. :)

I accept a maximum of 25 weddings each year. This allows me to provide my couples with the dedication, attention, and creative energy they deserve, as well as maintain a healthy balance between work and family life.

I'd say it's something along the lines of "Structured-Documentary". I like to hang back and let moments play out on their own, after guiding you into the most ideal location, highlighted with dreamiest of light. I'll help direct you a bit with portraits too, as my goal is for you to experience memorable moments without any awkward directions or posing.

Heart-warming, rich, and fun... organic, true-to-life, and timeless... OK that's more than three.

Not typically to Portrait Sessions, but I do have an assistant with me on most Wedding Days.

Yes, I do! I don't believe in outsourcing. In my experience, adding my personal touch to each image adds value, consistency, and uniqueness.

Weddings: 800 - 1,200 depending on the amount of time photographed and how many photographers are capturing images that day
Family Portraits: 45 - 200 depending on the kind of session
Artisan Portrait & Studio Documentary: 30 images + a few head shots

Sessions take about 2-3 weeks and weddings require about 4-6 weeks to process your images.

A transit charge of $1.50/mile is required for mileage traveled outside of the Wedding or Portrait Session contract-included limit. We'll require hotel stay compensation if the wedding takes place 100 miles or more from Hanover, Pennsylvania.

Not really, just my roller bag of gear, a few light stands and flashes. I primarily like to photograph using natural sunlight from a window or doorway when shooting inside, and of course love to shooting outside when possible. And when I need to, I bring the necessities to create my own light. I use Nikon cameras and always bring backup equipment with me.

Print and share them with your friends and family of course, as well as update your profile pictures and post your favorites. We just ask that you refrain from using any filters on them when posting or altering the images in any way. From your personal Online Gallery, you'll also be able to download the digital files directly to your computer, tablet, or smart phone as well as place orders for prints and other various products.

Of course! If your venue requires me to submit proof, just let me know and I'd be happy to send it on over.

Sure! So after you send an inquiry via email or my Contact page, I'll shortly respond with a few questions to get to know you better, and gather a general sense of your vision for the Wedding Day or Portrait Session. Once you've decided to book, I'll email a Contract Agreement and Invoice to you, reflecting the amount due to reserve your date. Once you've signed the Agreement and paid your retainer fee (50% of the total balance), you're officially booked. I'll then email your Online Gallery link to you once the images are ready. The Gallery will be active for one year from the date it's delivered to you. It's your responsibility to back up the images online and/or to an external hard drive for safe keeping.

There are so many talented photographers out there and it's hard to decide who to book with, especially when the pictures are all so pretty and it's hard to know if you're making the right choice or not! That said, I want you to be 100% confident and comfortable moving forward, whether it's with me or someone else. And I'm not here to convince you that I'm the right photographer for you either, only you can decide that, but I will give you the reasons why I love and am good at what I do.

i appreciate what you appreciate

When couples open up to me about their childhood stories, family heritage, Grandmother's famous pecan pie, or how cute their dog is when he curls up in between them in bed at night, I just melt inside. Traditions, sentimental stories and heirlooms of any kind, and especially family recipes just get me every time. I want to know all about what's important to you. It's how we'll get closer and feel more comfortable together when the wedding day comes! I want to follow you guys on Instagram and get a peek into your life, learn about your cocktails of choice, favorite places to hang out on the weekends, and all of the hidden gem restaurants are that you like to go to to just try absolutely everything (if you're like me!). I realize you're not here for a new friend, you're here to hire a photographer, but it's in my heart to connect with you both, which will in turn allow you to fall even more in love with your photos. Trust me. Because if I felt like a stranger on the day of your wedding, you won't act as natural and will be able to just ignore me in the corner while I capture you both just being yourselves. And I mean of course if we happen to become friends along the way, than I'm all about it. :)

good vibes only

I'm pretty chill with a laid back and happy countenance, always looking forward to connecting with others and mingle with people whether they've been in my life for years or I just met for the first time. I've got a good sense of others' feelings, personalities, and dynamics which comes in handy especially on a wedding day. And as an extrovert, I'm not afraid to talk to anyone and everyone, being assertive when necessary (family formals or a buzzed bridal party!) and making sure I'm taking control of the situation I've been given.

knowledge & education

In an age where anything can be taught or learned via YouTube, I am proud to say that I actually went to school to become a photographer. It's something I wanted to do from a very young age, and worked hard to accomplish my education. Though I'm always learning, I'm confident in my skills and proud of the growth I've had in the constant path of perfecting my trade in the past near-decade of being in wedding photography.

nothing unnecessary

You're here for photographs and a pleasant, pretty simple and straight-forward experience along the way, yes? And you're interested in having the digital files with the ability to not only make prints but also share them on social media to all of your friends and family too, right? Well that's what I'm going to give you. No bells and whistles, extra sparkles and glitz, just me, my camera, and you guys. That's all we need to make this magic happen! And as far as the business-oriented things go, I keep all of that easy too, with onlin invoicing and payments, and communication via email.

Initial Booking - A 50% nonrefundable retainer fee required in addition to your contract signing to hold your wedding date, both completely online.

Engagement Session - We meet up wherever you guys want to get to know each other and take some photographs, get you used to being in front of the camera, and talk about some wedding details!

Photo Delivery - About 2 weeks after your session, I'll send you an email with a link to your personal online gallery of images that you can print or even use in a guest book design for the wedding day...

Final Payment Due - 30 days prior to the wedding day, your payment is due in full via online payment or check.

Wedding Day - Everything and everyone you've planned for comes together to celebrate and experience YOU TWO, and it's incredibly emotional, unique, and memorable...

Photo Delivery - About 4 weeks after your wedding, I'll send you an email with a link to your personal online gallery of wedding day images, and you'll spend the evening together with a couple beers reliving your awesome day...

Product Design - We'll start working together to select the images for your album and begin your custom design. You and your families may also want to order some prints and products directly from your online gallery too!

K.I.T. - Like we wrote years ago in our high school yearbooks, we'll keep in touch, right?? I sure hope so. I get emotional when it comes to a close, but I hope you'll have me back for family pics one day or just text me to meet up for a drink or two!

customized timeline planning

Weddings have potential to be incredibly stressful but they seriously don't have to be. One thing I make sure to be a part of early on in the booking process is the Timeline planning. I've photographed and attended so many weddings (way more than I can count!) and have pretty much experienced it all, so it gives me a great deal of insight for ensuring your day is planned out with as much time for everything as we need, with some wiggle room in-between. I'll create a sample timeline for you to use throughout the planning months in correspondence with your other vendors, and then about 6 weeks prior to the wedding day, we'll solidify the timeline and create a master copy for you two, your bridal party and families (so they know where to be for pictures and when!), your other vendors, and myself. It's so important for you both to feel stress-free about the timeline when the wedding day arrives, otherwise you may find yourself feeling confused about what happens next, stressed out, and nervous - I want you to enjoy every moment and soak it all in...

attention to detail

I do my best to look for those tiny little things that disrupt the cleanliness or perfection in a photo like hairbands around wrists, necklaces clasps not being hidden behind the neck, crooked bow-ties, uneven pant legs, and obtrusive background objects that distract from the intentional and creative context of an image. Of course not every photo is meant to be "perfect", but I do have a keen eye for detail, imperfections, and simplifying an image to only include what I find to be necessary. And I respectfully do my best to remove what I find to be distracting before I take a photograph in as much of an unobtrusive and very casual, polite way as I can. :)

keeping my edits true-to-life

I personally edit every photo I deliver to my couples, enhancing the colors a bit, adding a little contrast, and touching things up to refine what's already been captured. To "Photo-Shop" and retouch every image would take hours, weeks, and months to return the images back, so though I carefully go through every image and spend time perfecting them, I try to do so in a timely and efficient manor. I do offer specialized image retouching, with cost depending on the requested retouch and time involved. But when I see the images, I already see them as beautiful memories that, in my opinion, shouldn't need to be extensively altered with filters, muted colors, and overly processed edits that differ from the look of those memories kept in your mind and hearts. I want to keep my photos as close to the way each moment looked in real life.
