Evelyn + Nick : Summer Date Night Engagement Session | Downtown Sykesville, Maryland Wedding Photographer

Downtown Sykesville is filled with cute shops, boutiques, places to eat, and such a cute place to visit for a perfect summer date night!

I met Evelyn and Nick at the Market Tavern so they could start their Engagement Session off with a nice refreshing couple of cocktails and spend a few minutes relaxing after the work day… They brought their adorable six-month-old pup Quinn with them, who’s absolutely their pride and joy! He is SO cute!! He was a little shy at first, being a little guy with so much going on around him, but quickly warmed up, especially since so many people were coming in and out of the bar, petting him and saying hello along the way. How could they resis that face??

Nick ordered a Moscow Mule and Evelyn decided on a refreshing Mint Mojito!

I also fell in love with Quinn’s leash from Wolfgang Man + Beast!

Evelyn and Nick were so sweet and fun to get to know while we walked around town taking pictures… They were so easy-going and natural which I absolutely loved, not to mention an absolutely beautiful couple!

I loved Evelyn’s floral romper and the way Nick chose to wear sold colors to compliment her. :)

Fun fact: They are both physical therapists!

Quinn was hilarious once he really warmed up and decided to show his little personality… He was trying to walk himself by grabbing the leash!

These two are just adorable… I can’t wait for their wedding next spring at the Gramercy Mansion!

We ended the evening with some ice cream at Norwood’s… Quinn got to taste some for the very first time ever and it was so cute!

I loved Evelyn and Nick’s down-to-earth vibes and natural chemistry they share together… We had such a nice time getting to know each other and enjoying the summer breeze, talking about wedding details, some of our favorite things, and of course, our dogs!

Can’t wait to celebrate with these two and their families and friends next spring!

Thanks to the Market Tavern for having us! :)

Lauren + Ethan : Waverly Brewing Co. and Sherwood Gardens Engagement Session | Baltimore, Maryland

When Lauren reached out to me about photographing her wedding, the subject of her email read, “The Final Gal”… bringing a huge smile to my face. I’ve photographed 4/5 of her group of bestie’s weddings and she was the last one to get hitched! I was so honored and excited!! It’s been so sweet and special to be part of all of their wedding days over the years, and can’t wait to top it off with Lauren and Ethan’s!

Lauren and Ethan’s first date was at this super cool Baltimore brewery tucked just under the Jones Falls in Woodberry. This was the perfect place for their Engagement Session because it’s just so “them”! It’s where they love to hang out, what they love to do together, and encompasses their vibe.. laid back, chill, and fun!

Not only was their first date here, but Ethan’s proposal was also at Waverly! He had the back of the bar reserved with the sweetest set up… pictures of the two of them, candles, and of course their favorite beer. He did such a good job planning everything so perfectly and surprising her, ending the night with their friends and family to celebrate their engagement together!

It was so nice of the bar owners to let us come in a little early and take some pictures before they opened so we could have the space to ourselves… Just outside the bar is an area where you can set up corn hole and hang out by the picnic tables and chill which is awesome! So after hanging out in the bar for a bit, we ventured outside to throw some bean bags! Their adorable pup Milo came along too.. He is just so cute!

They are just so cute together! I loved when they’d share a little laugh… :) I love how they’re so playful with each other… Sometimes life can get so serious and we have to remember to just relax and have fun

Nothing wrong with a little friendly competition… ;)

The sunshine felt so warm and good! Especially paired with an icy cold beer…

After Waverly, we headed over to Sherwood Gardens… I loved Lauren’s dress! It popped so well against all of the greenery.

Look at that gorgeous smile!

I’m so excited for their wedding at Rosewood Farms next year… It’s going to be absolutely gorgeous! They are such a sweet couple with adorable chemistry and love to just let loose and have fun! I have no doubt their wedding day is going to be amazing!

Diana + Mick : Fells Point Engagement Session | Baltimore, Maryland

Best friends are so special... They’re there for us through thick and thin, give us advice on what to wear, what polish to go with at the salon, address our personal relationship problems, help us decide whether or not to try a new hair style, encourage us when we need it most, and sometimes even introduce us to our future husbands!

Diana’s fiance Mick is her best friend’s cousin… After over a quarter-century of knowing who each other was but never really spending enough time together to truly hit it off, fate stepped in. Diana and Rowena (Diana’s bff) were on the tennis courts (something they love to do!) and needed another person to play doubles with them, so Rowena got in touch with Mick to see if he wanted to join in… He did - and that’s how it all began…

Fifteen years later… they’re tying the knot and making it official! Mick proposed to her, pulling a tennis ball out from behind his back and popped the question. The ball had the ring inside! He’d planned to propose on the tennis court earlier that day but things didn’t go as planned… It was an insanely hot day and they weren’t out on the courts as long. But he couldn’t wait, so he made dinner reservations, and then asked her to marry him before going out to dinner to celebrate together… I love how he tied in the details of where their relationship started with the proposal!

Diana and Mick love to play tennis together of course, travel, go to dinner at fun new restaurants, and just spend time together with their pup. They’re down to earth and easy-going and so comfortable to be around. I felt like I’d known them for so long after meeting them for the first time just before their Engagement Session! It wasn’t long before we were laughing and joking together and having such a fun experience..

We talked about all of our favorite foods, some wedding details, and about where we like to travel for vacation. I shared that Tyler and I always dream of getting away but never end up actually booking a trip! They were so funny, they couldn’t believe it and were giving me ideas of places to go… :)

Tyler came down to Fells Point with me that evening, and ended up striking up a conversation with a man from Egypt while he was sitting, people-watching, and enjoying the sun setting while I was photographing. When the session was over and we met back up with Tyler, Diana and Mick said - “Egypt! What a great place to book your next vacation!” :) So maybe it was a sign… Hehe.

We ended our session back on the pier by Barcocina. Music was playing from their deck so these two started dancing together right in the middle of the street! It was so cute…

I’m so glad to have met these two and can’t wait for their wedding day this October! And am kinda wanting to try out tennis now….. hmm. :)

Ashley + Eddie : BMore Licks and Patterson Park Engagement Session | Baltimore, Maryland

I love hearing about when couples’ paths cross, but they don’t officially meet until that perfect moment in time when all of the stars align and everything begins to play out as it was all intended to...

Ashley and Eddie both went to Penn State, but didn’t meet until they were both in Baltimore for a New Year’s Eve party. After falling in love and realizing their lives were meant to be spent with each other forever, Eddie proposed on a beach in California, right at sunset… And of course, she said yes… (swoon!)

They currently live out in San Diego but wanted to have their wedding here in Baltimore, as it’s a good central spot for their families and it’s where their relationship officially began… So they’re planning for a September wedding at Cosima! I absolutely love it there and can’t wait to celebrate with them!

So on the day of their Engagement Session, we met at BMore Licks for some ice cream before heading across Eastern Avenue to walk around Patterson Park for the afternoon. The line was long! But so worth the wait.

They each got the same cone, mint chocolate chip with rainbow sprinkles, so they didn’t have to share, they said. Haha! But the cute thing is, they ended up sharing anyway… :)

I love when my couples enter their own little world together and enjoy their time together without even thinking about the camera… They just walked, talked, enjoyed their cones, and had fun!

Spring was just finally settling in, and it was our first nice warm day we’d had yet! It was nice to see the park filling up with families playing, runners running, dogs jumping to catch frisbees, and of course - happy-in-love couples being all cute and sweet and lovey dovey like these two… :)

Their smiles are so genuine and happy… They were so cute and touchy and giggly with one another, I just loved it! It made the shoot so fun and sweet… When you can just FEEL their connection and how real it is… that’s a really special thing.

Can’t wait for this September with these two! Safe flights back to California… next time I see them, they’ll be gettin’ hitched!

A Springtime Styled Shoot - Outdoor Tablescape

This is a fun time of year before weddings kick off in full swing, where vendors and creatives come together to showcase their work in a collaborative way.

I had the privilege of connecting with these lovely ladies (and gentlemen - Neil of Barnes Farmhouse Tables! and Mark, events manager!) at Overhills Mansion in Catonsville, Maryland to highlight ways holiday hosts could set their Easter table or springtime setting for a gathering… particularly dessert.

Jenna and Elizabeth of Little Bit Heart created this whimsically sweet invitation for us! They’re so talented and have such a fresh fun style. I gave them my vision and they executed it perfectly!

Meet Alyssa of Rogue Petal Co! She just started her faux floral company after designing the flowers for her own wedding, and is off to such an amazing start! She’s driven, full of ideas, and juuust a touch of edge to make your vision unique and not completely like all of the others… I swear I had no clue the flowers on her Instagram feed were faux at first… She’s definitely taking the whole faux flower thing to a new level! She’s awesome, definitely check her out!

Marcie Lenick, of Celebrating Love by Marcie, is, what I like to call, the fairy godmother of styling. Whatever you need, she’s got it, and knows just how to make it look beautiful. Marcie styled Tyler’s and my vow renewal and we were completely blown away by what she put together for us. Plus, she’s just so kind and giving, focuses on each of her couples and projects as if they were the only thing she was working on.

And this is Allie of Bramble Baking Co. If you ordered your cake from a magical woodland pixie, her cake is what you’d get. I’m totally in love with her style and the way she not only decorates her cakes and pies, but the botanical and nature-inspired combination of ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors… She’s down to earth and just so talented!

Missy and Neil, owners of Barnes Farm Tables are simply wonderful people! Neil brought his handmade farm table and chairs for us to use for the shoot. If you remember when I hosted my sister-in-law’s bridal shower back in the late summer last year, I used their tables and chairs and just fell in love with the quality, their responsiveness, and customer service! They delivered and set up everything for us, and made sure we were completely satisfied. They have a wide variety of tables and chairs to choose from also!

Once the table was set and all of the girls had finished their touches, it was time for me to pop in and shoot! After I’d captured each detail, it was time for Allie to cut the cake for us… It was amazing!

And a huge thanks to Julia and her staff at Overhills Mansion for so generously allowing us to come crash their front lawn for the afternoon. :)
