Summer Wedding

Megan & Jake : Gatsby-Themed Summer Wedding | Baltimore, Maryland

Megan and Jake's Gatsby wedding was so elegant and done with just the right amount of glitz. Her bouquet was made of broaches and her dress was stunning, fitting her perfectly. She was absolutely glowing with her perfect skin and gorgeous smile! Her girls wore different dresses with sequins and sparkles.

It was a gorgeous summer day at The Valley Mansion just north of Baltimore, Maryland. Megan's mom helped her get dressed and buckle her shoes. Jake lit up when he saw Megan and whispered to her, "I couldn't be more ready..."

We had the perfect amount of time for some portraits before their outdoor ceremony!

Their ceremony took place on the steps out front of the mansion. After a few more pictures, everyone headed inside for dinner, dancing, and of course, cake!

It was an absolutely pleasure photographing for these two! May you have endless blessings in your life together!

Sara & Tyler : Dancing in the Rain - A Summer Backyard Wedding - Spring Grove, Pennsylvania

Sara and Tyler are both music teachers so naturally they wanted their wedding to revolve around music! Sara's aunt and uncle have a gorgeous country property just outside of Hanover, Pennsylvania in Spring Grove with a gorgeous a-frame house and lots of land - the perfect place for a summer wedding!

The morning of the wedding, it began to rain... a lot. Like, absolutely downpour. The weather was exactly the same on my wedding day so I totally understood the emotions they were feeling, trying to execute for plan B the morning of the wedding, but everything worked out so perfectly and beautifully!

As I wanted for Sara and her bridesmaids to arrive, I explored the house and property. I love it's unique style!

Sara and the girls arrived to get ready while a few friends came together to rearrange the tent setup so that the ceremony could be underneath. I loved their Save the Date and Invitation! After a couple of logistical calls, the girls popped some champagne and got into their dresses! Sara's mom, Bobbie, and her aunt Tracey surprised her with a trip to Tiffany's to pick out earrings for her wedding day... That was definitely a special moment to watch as they helped Sara step into her beautiful ethereal wedding gown and put on her new earrings. Sara read a letter from Tyler just before it was time to walk down the aisle..

After such a sweet ceremony filled with so much love (and a song from Sara's brother Jeremy!) we snapped a few portraits! Everyone was such good sports in the rain!

The rain kept coming but it didn't slow anyone down from partying and celebrating with these two! We danced, ate, drank, and danced some more!!

(Don't you love Mr. Ken sampling the rain water in his beer bottle?? One of my favorites from the night!)

And just before the night was over, we popped outside into the rain one last time to capture this beauty!

Congratulations again to Sara & Tyler! So much love for these two - what an amazing day!

Michelle & Scott : Summer Pond View Farm Wedding - White Hall, Maryland

Michelle and her bridesmaids got ready in the cutest most vibrantly-colored robes with the girls from Vintage Veils dolling them up from the tops of their tresses to the tips of their lashes. The Bridal Suite at Pond View Farm had just been freshly painted a beautiful pale blue-gray and the light in the room was just gorgeous.

Meanwhile, the guys were hanging out next door. Scott looked so nice in his casual suit while he opened his gift from Michelle - a nice new watch! And for the record - he wasn't late for his First Look. :)

There wasn't a cloud in the sky - a perfect summer day after we'd had so much rain!

Look at this gorgeous group!

Michelle's father had passed away not long before the wedding. A close friend of his performed the ceremony and read from a special binder that Michelle's father actually made for him, which was so special.

The barn was set up so perfectly! The pale pink and minty green accents were perfect for a July wedding! You could smell these cupcakes from a mile away and omg were they delicious! I had a peanut butter chocolate one... I was especially obsessed with the custom cookies Michelle and Scott had made of their beloved pups!

The sun went down just a bit and the temps cooled just in time for a few more portraits before the night carried on...

Congratulations to these two! May God bless you for years to come! Thank you for having us be such an intricate part of your wedding day!

Nance & Clint - Mercersburg Inn Wedding, Mercersburg, Pennsylvania

Clint & Nance were married in one of the cutest churches I've ever seen, that sat on a little hill on the corner of a Pennsylvania country crossroads. Family and friends gathered together to decorate and prepare for the ceremony to begin, greeting one another and anticipating the union of two of the most cherished people in their lives.

It was such a hot summer day but with the church windows open and fan programs for the guests, we all stayed cool and comfortable during the ceremony. Nance teased Clint by walking passed the doorway of the sanctuary a couple times, smiling at him from the other end of the aisle until it was time for her to come down - which was just so sweet... Her gown and earrings were from BHLDN - so timeless and beautiful! Their children made up the bridal party too, which was such a special touch.

After the ceremony, everyone drove a few miles away to the Mercersburg Inn for dinner, dessert, and dancing!
