Fall

Esther & Alex : Baltimore Museum of Industry Wedding | Baltimore, Maryland

These two got married on a beautiful November day in Baltimore with the sun shining and leaves changing colors… And the wind blowing! It’s only fitting, considering their Engagement Session was crazy windy too! :)

They got ready at the Royal Sonesta overlooking the Inner Harbor before heading to the Baltimore Museum of Industry for the First Look, Ceremony, and Reception…

Their First Look took place outside with Domino Sugars and the beautiful harbor in the background. Esther look so gorgeous and Alex so handsome (loved his green tie and how it matched her own beautiful shawl!)…

Their bridal party was so fun.. I love when there’s such a good energy throughout their close group of friends and family!

Their ceremony was so tender and sweet… Esther was tearing up so her precious flower girl handed her a tissue mid-ceremony. We took a few portraits again after they became Mr. & Mrs. and then headed inside for the reception! Alex’s brother’s speech had everyone grabbing for their tissues… and Alex for his napkin! It was so beautiful to watch this special moment between these two. As the night went on, the dance floor was packed with some pretty epic moves, food was delicious (love Rouge Catering always!) and coordinated perfectly by Erin from 1423 Events. She was amazing, attentive, and sweet! I always love watching guests dance and have a good time. At the end of the night, they had a “bridal party only” sparkler exit which was fun!

I know time will bring these two amazing things! They’re so sweet, have two of the cutest dogs, and love living life adventurously together… I can’t wait to see where life takes these two! Blessings to you both, Mr. & Mrs. Tenaglio!

Jessica & Jeff : Fall Wedding at Musket Ridge | Frederick, Maryland

Jessica and Jeff got married at Musket Ridge, just outside of Frederick, Maryland on a beautiful October day, kicking off fall wedding season! The sun was shining and the weather was absolutely perfect! Jess planned everything so perfectly and we were right on schedule all throughout the day. I loved her beautiful Enaura dress from Betsy Robinson’s Bridal, it was perfect for her!

Their First Look was so sweet, they read letters that they’d written to each other back-to-back and then turned around to see each other for the first time. They’ve been together for over a decade so they were so ready and excited to get married. Their ceremony was so sweet and afterwards, we photographed a few portraits around the grounds during the perfect golden hour sunlight.

These guests were ready to dance! After introductions and speeches, there was hardly any room to move on the dance floor, just about every single guest was out there! It was such a blast…

I loved photographing for these two! I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites from their special day!

Kate & Allan : Classic Cocktail Hour Inspired Wedding - Mt. Washington Tavern | Baltimore, Maryland

Kate and Allan wanted their wedding day to feel incredibly relaxed and laid-back, just like a Cocktail Hour where their guests could mingle and talk to whoever they wanted, eat and drink whatever they wanted, and have the overall feel of a bar/restaurant party rather than a structured wedding reception. I was completely in love with the idea when they were describing their vision to me because I’m all about a down-to-earth and easy-going vibe, especially at a wedding! :)

Combined with the non-traditional factors of their reception were more classic and timeless elements like Kate’s jewelry. Her dress was from BHLDN and was absolutely perfect for her, especially with that bold red lip! Kristen Floyd did her makeup and was so incredibly talented. She also attended the reception and was there for touch-ups whenever Kate needed them!

Kate is part of a group of 5 special girlfriends who have all been close for years. I’ve photographed 2 of their weddings (Danielle and Ed’s & Katie and Kory’s!), now 3 which is special for me! They are all gorgeous, sweet, giving, and so supportive of each other and it’s so cool to witness. They call their little group “the gals” and had tanks made up with the show “Friends” font that said “Gals”, which were so cute.

So I arrived to the Hotel Monaco in Baltimore as the girls were getting ready… It was so fun to walk in and hug everyone - I felt like it was a little reunion! :)

Kate and Allan wrote letters to each other, so after she was in her dress, Kate opened hers…

Allan was a few doors down getting ready with his son Aiden, who is so adorable and mature for his age. He was excited to be part of the day and help his dad get ready to see Kate, who also had written a letter to Aiden.

Allan really wanted to have their First Look on the beautiful white marble steps in the foyer. There was another wedding going on who were using the stairs for some portraits, but just before it was time for Allan to see Kate, it looked like the stairs cleared up so we took advantage of the wide open opportunity! I’m so glad we did because I love these images… I had Danielle with my second camera over on the adjacent staircase to capture Kate as she walked down to see her groom. Danielle killed it!

We took a few portraits around the hotel before it was time to head to Mt. Washington Tavern for the ceremony!

I love the Mt. Washington Tavern. Their food is so good, it’s in such a cool part of the Baltimore area, and had the perfect vibe they were going for.

Their ceremony was beautiful. I loved the Pimlico Room where it was held, with all of the greenery, cream colored walls, gold accents, and neutral tones. Kate and Allan wrote their own vows which made everyone tear up… it was such a beautiful moment!

Then it was party time! We popped outside for some portraits but their guests headed to the bar, and to all of the various food stations including a taco bar, burger bar, and a mac & cheese bar!

We had so much fun outside walking around the streets surrounding the Tavern. Kate got #thejustmarriedjacket from Copper Stone Co. for a few photos! It’s when you borrow the jacket for wedding day pics in exchange for a bottle of wine! Such a fun concept that’s now here in Baltimore!

They’re so sweet and fun, I can hardly stand it! We headed inside to enjoy the rest of the reception… I loved watching everyone have fun and enjoy just hanging out! The one traditional part of their ceremony was the cake cutting - adorable of course!

I love to try and always get a group shot with my couples. :) What an awesome day this was… I was so happy to be part of it! Best wishes to Kate and Allan, lots of love to the two of you and thank you so much for giving me the privilege of documenting these memories for you both!

Kelly & Jimmy : Riding Bikes & Coffee Shop Date | Washington, DC Engagement Session

Kelly and Jimmy are just adorable… They are so effortlessly sweet and fun to get to know! Traveling together is one of their favorite things to do. They both did the Peace Corps, though in different countries, but have been to Cuba, Mexico, Utah, and most all of the east coast together. And when I learned that they also love cooking, I knew we’d get along great! We all know I’m a wanna be chef when I’m not behind the camera… :) Kelly and Jimmy have a goal of cooking a meal from every country in the world - how cool is that??

We met in DC, on the block where Kelly used to live, for their engagement shoot. It was such a cute street with so many porches decorated for fall with pumpkins and spider webs. She and Jimmy used to bike all around DC together, even to work in the mornings, so bringing their bikes along for the shoot was a perfect way to tell their story. Kelly works further outside of the city now but Jimmy still bikes to work each day!

We started at the cutest little park heading to Big Bear Cafe for tea… Big Bear was awesome with so much texture, greenery, and character. There was even a vegetable stand out front where you could pick up some fresh produce. I loved it there!

I just loved this little date night so much! They planned it all so perfectly and we had so much fun together… Can’t wait for their wedding next September!

Alejandra & Daniel : Intimate Wedding | Morrison Clark Hotel - Washington, DC

Alejandra and Daniel wanted their wedding to feel like an intimate evening with their closest friends and family. They hosted it at the Morrison Clark Hotel in DC on Columbus Day! Family and friends flew in from all over to spend their special day with them.

Ale’s mama and closest girlfriends helped her get dressed into her beautiful two-piece BHLDN gown… The lighting in their room was beautiful, overlooking the busy streets of DC.

Once she was dressed and the veil was on, there wasn’t a dry eye! Including mine.. She looked so beautiful.

Daniel was so excited to see his bride and he couldn’t stop smiling! It was so sweet… He and the guys were all jokes and laughs… I had so much fun hanging out with them!

Chairs surrounded both sides of the beautiful Chuppah for their guests, as they waited alongside Daniel, for Alejandra to enter the room… I love this shot of all the cell phones, hehe.

According to tradition, she circled Daniel seven times before the ceremony began. That was very special to watch, as tears filled his eyes.

Their vows were beautiful. Daniel said his in Spanish to her, which was so cool. Somehow I felt like I could understand just what he was saying. It was beautiful…

The sun had set so we spent time inside of the hotel photographing a few portraits before the reception began…

The ceremony room was set for dinner and their guests found their seats for the reception. After a few tender-hearted speeches, dinner, and the cake cutting, the dance floor opened! It was so fun to be on the dance floor with everyone because the space was small but the energy was big and the music was amazing! I absolutely loved the vibe and watching everyone have such a great time!

Thank you Alejandra and Daniel for having me capture your beautiful day. Best wishes to you both! Huge thanks also to the sweetest ever Sydney of Brielle Davis Events who planned a perfectly executed day, helped me find parking, and brought everything together for their day! Girl, you were amazing! :)
