This is a session dedicated to our beloved paw-children… Our best friends and loyal companions, who are allowed on the sofa to snuggle after a long day, and to sleep in bed with us with their own pillow. We want them to feel special, the center of attention, doted upon, and treated… Today is the day for their very own photo shoot! With a styled backdrop and accessories, they’re going to love how they look!
Bring your dog, cat, parrot, chicken, or even your pet rock for special photos…
(No snakes please, I will literally pass out.)
As long as your pet is friendly and behaves well around other animals, we’d love to have them attend our afternoon of back-to-back photo sessions with a styled background by Marlo and Laurie of [fab-ri-kāt], ( an event styling company based in Baltimore) and photos by me!
We’ll have two sets, a nice plain backdrop for more formalized portraits, and an awesome set designed by the ladies of Fabrikat!
We’re so excited to be featuring handmade flower crowns and wreaths (by the amazing Alyssa of Rogue Petal Co.) along with an array of other special adornments will be provided for your pet to model during their session!!
*Flower crowns and props are optional for your images, but I mean why would you omit such a thing??
A BIT ABOUT THE BREWERY…
“Born out of a love for entertaining friends and family, Inverness Brewing was created. Inverness, a 100-acre historic Monkton farm, is home to 50 black angus cattle, 600 thriving hop plants, seasonal crops, and Folly the Dog. Brewing operations began in August 2018, making Inverness Brewing Baltimore County’s first farm brewery. We focus our beers on seasonal ingredients and take great pride in our “Crop to Keg” philosophy. Please join us to experience farm life, farm food, and fabulous brew! Our tap room and food trailer are open for tasting and to go sales starting September 15th, 2018.”

About 7-10 business days after your shoot, you’ll receive a private Online Gallery with your pics!
Payments will be accepted via the Venmo app only. This will help keep things moving along simply the day of the session event. If you’re not already a Venmo user, it’s very simple to download and set up! If you have any questions about this or prefer to mail a check or pay another way, feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
To complete your registration, submit your registration form below and within 1-2 business days, a contract agreement will be sent to you to e-sign, along with a Venmo request from @KirstenSmith815 with your selected Collection selection.
Note: Submitted payments will not be refunded for any reason. Should you be unable to make your session the day of for any reason, 50% of your submitted payment may be applied to a future booked portrait session with Kirsten Smith, but must be booked and photographed prior to December 31, 2019.
your shoot will assist local wildlife!
We are excited to donate 10% of all proceeds from our Mini Session Event to the PHOENIX WILDLIFE CENTER in Phoenix, MD.
In addition to our financial donation, we will also be delivering a collection of the following to the Phoenix Wildlife Center. We encourage everyone to please bring one or some of the following so we can help keep them well-stocked with their necessary supplies!

KIRSTEN SMITH, Photographer - @kirstensmithphotography | As a dog mom myself, there’s nothing I want more than to spend time with our Bax. He’s everything to us.. He’s the sweetest, most loving, hilarious, fun, adventurous, perfect little guy and I love him so much! So naturally, I like to hang out with people who feel the same way about their pup (and pets)! So let’s celebrate and make a whole day of it!
[fab-ri-kāt] BALTIMORE, Styling - @fabrikatbaltimore | Marlo and Laurie Atkinson, the creative mother-daughter duo behind [fab-ri-kāt] (pronounced like “fabricate”) are two of the most FUN, fresh, current, visionaries I’ve ever met! They can see the final result and know exactly how to implement each element. They plan and design for weddings and events in the Baltimore area and I couldn’t think of anyone more suitable for our styling! Marlo and Laurie styled this shoot that we recently had featured in Baltimore Weddings! We just worked together on Mini Sessions Event at the Haven Street Ballroom last April and they knocked our styling out of the park!
ALYSSA GROGAN, ROGUE PETAL CO., Faux Florist - @roguepetalco | I met Alyssa a few months ago through Instagram and we clicked immediately! She makes silk flowers totally badass and awesome, and has such a cool vibe and creative personality! She’ll be creating the flower crowns and wreaths for our pets to wear during the shoot!
what’s the vibe going to be?
We’re keeping it chill and simple but FUN… The venue has a barn-inspired feel to it, so we’ll incorporate some rustic elements, but keep it clean and chic too… Can’t wait to see what our styling team designs!
can i print my pics and post them online?
Yes! Your session includes print and social media sharing rights to the images! You’ll be able to order prints directly from your online gallery, or you can download the files and have them printed at your favorite local kiosk, your call! The web file sizes will also be available for online sharing too. Prints can also be purchased directly from the online gallery link you’ll receive.
what’s the best way to get there?
Inverness Brewing is right off of I-83, off of Exit 24 (Belfast Rd.) just east of Monkton and just north of the Baldwin and Phoenix areas. Wanna see for yourself? Check out the map below…
and What time would my session start?
We’ll be booking back-to-back sessions throughout the course of the day. The day will be planned strategically and methodically, booking one session after the next. Upon interest in booking a session, we will provide you with your session start-time which will range anywhere from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. If you have a preferred time of day, please note in the Message section of your Registration Form and we’ll do our best to accommodate, but as you can understand, we can’t make any promises. Please arrive about 10 minutes prior to your session to check in, get situated, use the bathroom if need-be, and get ready for your portraits to begin!
what if we arrive late for our shoot?
We won’t be able to extend your session time, due to the nature of the day’s structure with sessions being scheduled back-to-back. Please do your best to leave with enough time to arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled session time. :) If you happen to arrive late, we’ll use however much time is left in your time slot to photograph and totally rock it out!
can we grab a photo with our pet?
Of course! The shoot will primarily be of them, but you’re more than welcome to jump in for a shot or two! It’ll be perfect for the fridge… and by your bedside in a lovely frame. Oh and for your desk at work! And of course there’s holiday cards (never too early!)…
Feel free to come with your pet dressed for the occasion if you have something specific they’d like to wear or showcase!
can we drink with our dogs?
Inverness is gracious to allow us to host our Event, but they don’t allow pets inside. But that doesn’t mean you still can’t enjoy yourselves! They have a beautiful property and lots of outdoor areas to hang out with your pet and your IPA (or Porter if you’re like me!)
responsible pet ownership
We’re sure this goes without saying, but we kindly ask that each of you pick up after your pets, as well as always keep them on a leash while on the Inverness property. We want to respect the space and help to keep it as lovely as they do!
