First Snow Day of 2020

Bax and I ran to the grocery store this morning to get ingredients for a cozy wintery dinner, and I brought my camera along for the venture. :)

This “peeking pine” is my favorite viewpoint in our backyard when it snows… Isn’t it whimsical and so perfectly framed by the birch tree branches?

Our side walkway’s awning of trees was much lower than usual, weighed down by the snow… I love when this happens, it’s like a little secret tunnel of wonder…

The neighbors were out shoveling their walks and waving to each other, making small talk about how much we got, and how high the temps are supposed to get this weekend.

The sunlight peeked through the east side of town so magically, painting a golden hue on the houses and tree trunks. Everything was glistening and covered like gumdrops!

The blue house you’ll see before our pink one, is what I call the “Harry Potter House”. There’s a window the middle of the house, which you can’t see in this photo, that looks just like the Deathly Hallows symbol to me, lol.. But I love their ivy-covered awning out front, especially in the winter!

Hope everyone had a cozy and safe first snow day of the year!
