wedding FAQ

How many weddings have you photographed?
Well over 200!

How many weddings do you typically shoot each year?
I accept a maximum of about 15 weddings a year. This allows me to provide my couples with the dedication, attention, and creative energy they deserve, as well as maintain a healthy balance between work and home life.

How would you describe your style?
I prefer to be quiet and unobtrusive when photographing, as not to disturb the moment, but I can also sense when some natural direction and posing guidance is needed. It’s important for my clients to feel comfortable and free to just relax and be themselves during our time together. And in terms of editing the images, it’s important to me to keep the look pretty true to life with mild editing enhancements.

What’s your booking process like?
After receiving your inquiry, I'll reply with a few questions to get to know you a bit, along with more information about my various collections and product details, pricing, and payment options will also be included. Once you’ve chosen the option that best suits you, a contract and invoice will be emailed to you to e-sign and complete, after which, you’ll be officially booked!

Are there payment plans available?
I primarily offer both 2-payment and 3-payment options, with custom payment plans as an option as well.

Do you have liability insurance?
Of course! If your venue requires me to submit proof, just let me know and I'd be happy to send it on over.

Does anyone come with you when you photograph?
Yes! I always have at least one assistant that comes with me, sometimes two!

What do you bring along with you?
I carry my gear bag and a couple light stands. I use Nikon gear and always bring backup equipment with me.

What if we have bad weather?
There is so much potential for epic photographs on a wedding day, no matter what the weather is like. So don’t worry, we will absolutely make the most of what we’re given and find inspiration in the story of your day, even if it’s raining.

Do you edit each photo yourself?
I do! I don’t outsource any of my work and do all of my own post-processing.

Do you retouch them too?
I sure do, but the cost for this is not included in your initial investment. You’re welcome to purchase additional retouching services for any image(s) you’d like through your online gallery.

What is the difference between editing and retouching?

Editing alters the raw image with broad enhancements like color and exposure correction, contrast adjustment, sharpening, and some basic spot removal. Retouching requires more in-depth alteration such as skin softening, blemish removal, removal or background elements, etc.

When will I have access to my online gallery?
You’ll receive a link to your gallery within about 4-6 weeks after your wedding day.

What am I allowed to do with my images?
My business holds the copyright to your photos, but you are welcome to make prints and share them to social media as often as you’d like. You just can’t sell, edit, or alter them in any way.
