One of the most enriching aspects of my job is when I get to experience the milestones throughout a couples’ life. It sounds so cliché but it couldn’t be more true. I knew Sarah all through high school, captured her and Josh’s wedding day, photographed pictures of their sweet little Reece when he was born, and now again as they have just welcomed baby Boden into their family!
I was greeted by their friendly, happy turquoise front door upon my arrival, opened with a smile by Josh and their American Bulldog, Bronson. It was so good to see them and catch up a little bit as I started taking pictures.. Reece was so stinkin’ cute and personable right from the start, and picked out some of his favorite books to read to his new baby brother… Their velvety cat, appropriately named Prune, was super interested in what we were doing and wanted to be part of all the family snuggles, often not too far from all the action. :)
While it was time for Mom to feed baby Bo, Reece and his daddy had a little quality time together.. :)

These magnetic building blocks were so cool.. They spent some time building and talking about all things Marvel! Reece absolutely LOVES his super heros…

Iron Man retired for the afternoon, just before it was time for Spider Man to make his debut! He will always be there to protect his little brother from the bad guys. :)

Quiet cozy afternoons like this are my absolute favorite to be a part of… Just doing normal life, in the comfort of a family’s natural space, doing what they love most - just relaxing ad being together.
I loved being able to capture this sweet little transition into the next chapter for Sarah and Josh, new house, new baby, and a whole lot of love just bursting at the seams…
