Emily + Pat got married on a beautiful summer day in the back yard of her childhood home. She did her sister’s makeup, got dressed in her childhood bedroom, and walked down the steps to see her dad after she got ready just like she always did growing up.
Their day was so happy and bright, surrounded by all of the things that point back to family… They honored their parents in such sweet and special ways throughout the day, included their siblings into their bridal party, and prepared to host the day in such a beautiful way, with so much hard work and love throughout the days and months leading up.
Marcie of Marcella Lenick Events and Stacy of Stacy Bowen Floral Design turned the back yard into an absolute dream with the big white tent, floral arch and chairs, and of course, twinkle lights. Linwoods catered the food and it was just as divine as always. Every detail was considered, and the day flowed so perfectly.
Emily looked beautiful in her dress that was so perfect for her, and Pat looked so sharp and handsome in his suit… Their First Look had us in tears, and everyone who was watching from the deck or from behind a tree needed tissues too, it was SO sweet to watch…
Another one of my favorite moments was when during the reception, Emily and Pat snuck away to dig up the bottle of whiskey they buried so it wouldn’t rain! Oh and their mom’s dresses were some of the coolest I’ve seem. Pat’s mom made her own dress, which I just loved, Emily’s mom’s dress was flowy and floral with the prettiest fabric, I loved hers too! They both looked so pretty and proud as they took in the moments of the day.
These two have such a radiant, joyful hearts that shine onto everyone they are around. They have a zest for life, value the ones they love so wildly deeply, and are full of so much energy, love, smiles, and warmth. I’ll never forget the amazing dinner they made after their Engagement Session where I got to spend the evening with them and Em’s sister Cara, getting to know them and talking all about the wedding plans…
