Cocktail Hour

I love this part of the wedding day! I’m seriously obsessed. The bite-sized hors d'oeuvres, the bubbly champagne, ice-cold beer, mingling with friends and loved ones, and kicking off the celebration of why we’ve all come together. I just love it and if it were up to me, I’d photograph every single Cocktail Hour I possibly could!

Sometimes the timeline of the day doesn’t allow for us to be able to join though, because we’re photographing family, Bridal Party, and Bride and Groom portraits during that time. But if we’ve done a First Look and captured all of the portraits we need, we can all join Cocktail Hour!

About 15 minutes before Introductions are scheduled, I’ll pop into the Reception space and photograph the room and details before guests are allowed in, and then it’s time to really get the party started!

Time Allotment: 60 minutes

Some couples opt for about 30 minutes of “Cocktail Hour” rather than a full hour if they’ve had a First Look and are ready to just get right to the Reception, which is nice as well.
