QUESTIONS
what would my hours be?
Assistant hours will vary depending on how many weddings are booked each year. Some seasons are heavier than others, but we typically photograph anywhere from 12-25 weddings a year, usually on Fridays and Saturdays. You’d be required to work about 6-10 hours per wedding day. There will be occasional work required during Portrait Sessions, and those are most often captured during the evening on Thursdays within the spring and fall seasons. Designer hours will vary based on the project.
would i be considered an employee?
All positions are self-employed Independent Contractor positions, non-eligible for employee benefits. Make sure to become familiar with what this entails, especially for when tax season rolls around.
where would i be expected to travel?
We mostly photograph weddings in the Baltimore metro area, but sometimes we travel to other neighboring states or even further! Designers would be able to work remotely.
