meet kirs

Born and raised in Carroll County, Maryland, I live just over the Pennsylvania line in a little pink house. I’ve been married to my childhood best friend Tyler for twelve years, and we are proud parents to our feist terrier, Bax.

You can usually find us out back by the fire, under the café lights, with some munchies and a glass of wine. We love cooking together, spending time outside, and housekeeping our sweet little home. We are very much homebodies but when we feel like venturing out, we like to try new restaurants, watch the sunset at the local lake, see live music, and cozy up at home with a couple of good books and hot tea. We’ve recently started traveling more too, enjoying adventuring together and being inspired by new places.

When I’m not taking pictures, I love to read, paint, sew, garden, and take spontaneous weekend trips to the beach. I find inspiration through colors, flowers, cook books, nature, new places, and history. I’m usually listening to some reggae, snacking on something savory, and thinking about what wine to pair with dinner… :)

We cherish the things in life that add such an unforgettable richness, like laughing and glass-clinking with the closest of friends, cheerful holidays surrounded by family, and the value of traditions, passed-down recipes, treasured heirlooms, and special keepsakes. Oh, and good music too.
