our favorite place to be is home.
Tyler and I love to nurture our little space and give it all the love it deserves, filling it with things that inspire our favorite kind of feels… Like comfort, nostalgia, peace, positivity, inspiration, safety, belonging, and love.
We’re all about the sensory elements that welcome those feelings too, like the scent of an herb-buttered chicken roasting in the oven, or some cinnamon and clove simmering on the stove…
The sound of a cork popping from a bottle of red, a crackling bonfire under the stars, the whistle of the tea kettle, or the tapping of Baxter’s feet across the hardwood floor…
The feel of a crisp kiss of fresh air sneaking in through a slightly cracked window, or the warmth of being wrapped in a cozy quilt...
Seeing the flickering of candles on the mantle at dusk, and stacks of classic books waiting with an adventure to be had, nestled on the shelves alongside pictures of memories with the people we love most.
These are just a few of the things we love that keep our hearts feeling full and overflowing with all the contentment and cheer…
“It was so wonderful to be there, safe at home, sheltered from the winds and cold. Laura thought that this must be a little like heaven, where the weary are at rest.”
― Laura Ingalls Wilder, quote from The Long Winter
