Timeline Planning Overview

I love to help plan your initial timeline because it’s such an important place to start when planning a wedding! This guide will help give you an idea of the different elements of the day and how long they usually take, as well as the typical amount of time you’ll need to set aside for each. These time-frames have potential to change from wedding to wedding, as no two are a like. Use this as a guideline, which can of course be customized to fit your vision!

Each link will go into each specific part of the wedding day, how things typically flow, and how much time I’d suggest allowing. I’ve also included sample timelines for different seasons, with and without a First Look.

Feel free to look around! Don’t be overwhelmed, take your time and really think about how you’d like your day to flow.

Note: It’s important to remember that not all things go according to plan, especially on a wedding day. There’s “real-life time” and there’s “wedding day time”. :) Things happen outside of our control, but we do our best to keep things going the way you/we planned, and either way, the day is about your unity, love, and future together… That is what’s most important.
