As you all know, I love nostalgia and feelings of joy and comfort from childhood memories. So I always look forward to Thanksgiving at my parents’ house because to me, it’s the epitome of home for the holidays. :)
Over the last few years, our holiday gatherings have gotten smaller and more intimate. We all gather around the same table, have sweet conversations and laughter, and enjoy all of the deliciousness there is to eat.
My parents always make the house cozy and especially prepared for all of us to spend time, with candles lit and the table set… Before we ate dinner this year, each of the men read a verse of thanksgiving and gratitude, then after dinner, we pop our poppers, put on our crowns, and read the jokes hidden inside before digging into dessert and coffee.
