Mueller Family : Spring Meadow Station | Upperco, Maryland Family Portrait Session

Katie and Pat scheduled a portrait session with me sometime last year and we kept having to reschedule between unexpected life situations and RAIN! And even though we were finally able to carry out a session successfully and precipitation-free, it literally poured cats and dogs on our way home from the evening of the shoot! We joked that it wouldn’t have been fitting if it hadn’t rained… :)

This sweet little family is so fun to spend time with… They decided to photograph at Spring Meadow Station in Upperco, MD because they go there often for family dates and ice cream! Their little girl, Aubrey, is such a cutie and loves to explore and hang out with mom and dad. She warmed up to me so quickly, and ran to give me a hug right when she got out of her car seat before we got started! It made my heart melt!

We walked around the greenhouse, saw their little collection of animals (bunnies, ducks, llamas, and goats), and finished the evening with some ice cream and a snowball!

It was so much fun and was so nice catching up with Katie and Pat after their wedding last year. Just as we were finishing up, the storm clouds began to roll in and it was time to go home… That evening, Katie texted me saying Aubrey loved picture time with Miss Kirsten and wanted to sing me a song, so apparently began to sing me “Silent Night” as she was going to sleep, hehe.. Again, heart melted! :)

Some of my favorites from the shoot…

Cheers to summer, sweet icy treats, and to the love of a precious little family!
