Tyler and I were excited to host our families for Easter this year. It had been such a long time since we’ve all been together, and we really wanted to open up our home to have everyone come and celebrate our faith in the Ressurection, visit together, and enjoy some delicious food of course. It was a little chilly but at least it didn’t rain!
I photographed the house and food tables and a few of my cousins sweet adorable kiddos, but didn’t take any of anyone else this time because I was too busy relaxing with my peach wine and mingling with everyone. We felt so blessed to look around and see so many faces of people who love us so much and have supported us through our whole lives, and were thankful to be able to share our home and give back to them after years of holidays spent together at their houses in such generous ways with so many great memories…
Before eating, we all stood together out back on our patio and held hands and shared in a moment of thanks together in prayer before digging into all of the deliciousness waiting for us inside. Dad made his famous ham and mustard sauce, Mom made her deviled eggs, Aunt Bonnie brought her rice krispie treats and scalloped potatoes, and Uncle Rich made the fruit salad spread. Aunt Nina brought the coconut cake and an amazing chocolate candy popcorn mix, Aunt Trace and Uncle Mark came with their authentic Italian lasagna with homemade pasta, my cousins brought carrot cupcakes, and we filled in with the rest… Everything was yummy and we all divvied up the leftovers once we were done eating. :)
Our neighbors popped in too, so we ended the night with them around the fire with some wine and a late-night coffee with a little Frangelico added in, topping off the evening perfectly… Wish I had more photos of the family but I hope you enjoy a few favorites from around the house!
