Tyler chose for us to venture into the city for his birthday this year, starting with the BMA and ending with tacos and a couple drinks down the street from the museum at Clavel. We had a nice little day together, exploring, learning, and of course, eating. :) We love to take our time and look through each exhibit thoroughly and learn about what peaks our interest. Our favorites were the Matisse and Van Gogh pieces. We love impressionistic work and the soft, relaxing hues. The mosaics were also incredible. So much to see, all different expressions and mediums…
Clavel was right down the street and we got there just in time before it got super packed! We talked to someone in line to suggested we get the queso dip appetizer, and it was so good and sooo cheesy, as would be expected. We also got some tacos and our waitress surprised Tyler with a slice of Tres Leches cake afterwards with a little birthday song serenade. The food was great, but we were most impressed by their cocktails! Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the north-east area of Charm City. Can’t wait to go back!
